MOOBON Axiom Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 6, 2026
1. Introduction
MOOBON Axiom ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI IGCSE, A-Level & SPM learning platform at https://axiom.the-index.net/.
2. Information We Collect
A. Personal Data via Google OAuth
By using Google Sign-In, we collect your:
- Full name and profile picture (to personalize your dashboard)
- Primary email address (for account identification and security)
- Language preferences and Google identifier (UID)
B. Usage and Learning Data
To provide adaptive coaching, we collect:
- Learning logs, practice scores, and AI interaction history
- Drafts and final versions of writing assignments
- Voice recordings for speaking practice (if applicable)
3. How We Use Information
Your data is processed based on your consent and for the performance of our service:
- Personalization: To tailor AI coaching to your English proficiency and progress.
- Platform Improvement: To train local algorithms (anonymously) and improve user experience.
- Communication: To send progress reports, security alerts, and support responses.
- Security: To prevent fraud, spam, and platform abuse.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- AI Service Providers: We use the OpenAI API to mark answers, give feedback and analyse learning. Content sent to the API does not include your name or email address.
- Hosting Services: Trusted cloud providers (e.g., AWS/Heroku) where our databases are strictly encrypted.
5. Google User Data
Axiom's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements.
We use your Google account information specifically to:
- Identify you uniquely across our platform.
- Securely store your learning progress, test scores, and AI feedback.
- Send you important account-related notifications.
We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes or sell it to third parties.
6. Using Axiom inside ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants
You can practise with Axiom from inside an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude (the “Axiom app”). This section explains what happens to your data when you do.
What we receive
- Your practice requests: the subject you ask to practise, the questions we show you, and the answers you submit. We do not receive the rest of your conversation with the assistant — only what the assistant sends to the Axiom app.
- Technical data: your IP address and, if the assistant provides one, an anonymised identifier for your assistant account. We use these only to apply the daily limits on free marking and to prevent abuse.
If you connect your Axiom account
- You sign in to Axiom and choose Allow. We then give the assistant an access token for your account. We store only a one-way hash of each token.
- The answers you submit through the assistant are saved to your Axiom account — your practice records, marks and mastery estimates — in the same way as answers given on the Axiom website.
- We do not send your name or email address to the assistant.
- Access tokens expire after one hour and are renewed automatically for up to 90 days. You can disconnect an assistant at any time on the Connected apps page; this stops it using your account immediately.
What the assistant receives from us
The questions, your marks, the model answers and explanations, and whether your answer was saved to your Axiom progress. The assistant may use these to explain the question to you. Its handling of your conversation is governed by its own privacy policy (for example, OpenAI’s or Anthropic’s).
Marking
Written answers may be marked by our AI service provider (OpenAI). Only the question, the mark scheme and your answer are sent — never your name or email address.
Retention
Answers saved to your account are kept with your account and deleted when your account is deleted. Practice by students who have not connected an account is not linked to any Axiom account; we keep a simple usage log (which question was shown and how it was marked) to run and improve the service.
Age
AI assistants set their own minimum age (for example, ChatGPT requires users to be at least 13). Please use the Axiom app only if you meet the assistant’s age requirement.
