Question
A student used the apparatus in the diagram to find out how the humidity of the air affects the rate of transpiration of a leafy shoot. As the shoot takes up water, the air bubble in the capillary tube moves towards it. The shoot was placed in a sealed chamber and the humidity was changed. The distance moved by the bubble in 300 seconds was measured each time.
