Write a story about a character who spent a long time trying to make, learn or win something difficult — and in the end succeeded.

You might want to think about:

• who your character is and what they were trying to do
• what kept going wrong, and who or what helped them keep trying
• the place and the moment when they finally succeeded
• what happened afterwards.

Plan first. Then write your story in clear paragraphs, building up to the moment of success.
